WHO ARE WE?
Formed late 2017 in Lyon, France, Modesto plays tense indie rock music, with heavy, sharp and melodious guitars (with alternative tunings), banging drums and fuzzy basses; hence, full of melodies, vocals and efficient foolproof rhythms. A first album, SOUTHEAST TALES, recorded « live » in two days, brings back a not so distant musical universe using the good old formula that is a power rock trio combo.
OLIVIER "DIGO" DI GAETANO
LEAD/BACKING VOCALS - GUITAR - BASS
Summer 1990, age 14, he wrote his first songs with a neighbor. This little acoustic duo soon grew into a R.E.M.-influenced electric pop-rock combo called BAOBAB, in which he composed and played lead guitar. A few years later, the original duo dismantled to form LE CLAN DES M’AS-TU VU. Now playing bass, he adapted his new guitar compositions for 2 basses, and in parallel set up FLYING TEAPOTS, a noisy pop trio consisting of 2 basses plus drums. He developed a rhythmic bass playing style based on chords and arpeggios, replacing guitar tunes. In 2002, he adopted the same formula with CHICK PEAS, a noisy rock band mostly influenced by Shellac and Fugazi. The band enjoyed good reputation, both locally and nationally, playing all over France, touring Europe and opening for The Datsuns. In the meantime, he was playing drums with FUTUR 2000. In 2010, he joined OUT TO LUNCH, a punk rock band, on bass, and opened for Jello Biaffra. He kept playing bass in T.T.TWISTERZ, a rock trio with whom he recorded 3 albums. He soon realised he missed guitar playing and compositions were piling up. In 2017, he decided to form a Sebadoh-influenced band with T.T.TWISTERZ drummer Antoine Charnay, in which he could play his indie rock compositions from both sides, on bass as well as guitar. He soon met the right composer and sidekick who would know how to top his game.
DAVID LAGIER
LEAD/BACKING VOCALS - GUITAR - BASS
Raised by the sound of the 1990s, he soon joined his first college band LE LEZARD with whom he developed a growing appetite for composing. He then joined ERASER EYE, a Weezer-like 4-member band which later became a trio in which he acquired his love for melodic guitar intricacies. Later, he moved on and joined CITRON, with whom he toured around France and played their catchy tunes sharing stages with such bands as Little Rabbits, Nada Surf, The Servants among many others. He finally parted from the band to create a more personal project, BROTHER ROGER, and released 2 albums on his own. He had the pleasure of opening for Jason Molina and his Magnolia Electric Co. He’s also taken part in different musical adventures with fellow musicians, among which LES FRERES NUBUCK as a drummer, composing and arranging songs for NOEL BELMONDO, recording an acoustic collection of songs under the name of THE SHOP along with Remy Kaprielan on drums and Ben Nicolas on Double Bass, and many more…

In 2011 he met DiGo with whom he formed T.T.TWISTERZ along with Benjamin Guillet. He’s been also sharing stages behind drums with such artists as Cowboys From Outer Space or Jim Younger Spirit, and Chacha l’Etoile. During his musical journey he found himself supporting bands such as Mass Hysteria, No One Is Innocent, Eiffel, The Fuzztones, The Only Ones, Last Train, Elephant Stones, Messer Chup’s among many others. He currently plays for ERIC LE ROUGE for more traditional French music too.
